Concoction of a Review

The Mad Scientist feels that I should point out there that Yesterday's Heroes is a bit on the shorter side.

Of course, once again I had no clue what I was jumping into with this one.  The superhero cover makes me think YA.  Oh, boy I was wrong!  Surprise, this ebook was Adult!  Picture spandex costumes, action, and powers!  This book was a bit exciting!  Even better then even what I could

For Michael Hunter was apart of a 5 person team, Boomers, who are from the future of year 2115.  There mission became their life... They were sent to stop certain key events from happening to  impede the darkness of the future from happening.

Halo, is the hero they are targeting at the moment, believing that she is vital to stopping the next event from happening.  Michael is all stalker sniper on top of the building across the way from Halo's favorite coffee shop has some inner monologue war over his desire for Halo and the mission needing her dead.

~If Yesterday's Heroes is the beginning of a new series the Mad Scientist is eagerly awaiting the next.

~If Yesterday's Heroes is a stand alone... Then I must say that I was engaged all the way to the end.  However, with it being so short the end was very abrupt.  So many questions have left my Mad brain even Madder.  I do wish for more!

{eARC Adult Book Review} ---> Beyond Shame

Beyond Shame (Beyond, #1)

Concoction of a Review:

Holy Hot!  Hard Core Kinky!  Obscene!  Dark! & I loved every minute of it!

The Mad Scientist's down and dirty Review of Beyond Shame.  If you have been deeply disappointed or find the romance lacking in books of late. Beyond Shame is sexy in all the sinful ways that will have most blush throughout the whole book.  This book had all of my lustful past and fantasy romps thrown down on page!  However, I do recommend this one with a warning!

Warning Number One:
If you are uncomfortable with anything other then the normal m/f... the tromp through this book has even more.  f/f, m/f/m/f, m/f/m, and plenty of just full on sex parties.

Warning Number Two:
BDSM material... Bondage, kinky pearl strands, pain, Dominance & submission.

The dirty book is also a dystopian.  *Gasps*  Yes, in the world of raunchy sex after solar flares cast the world as we knew it into darkness there are sectors who are trying to survive.  Noelle, is from Eden, the world of the elite privileged prim & proper, which she is not.  Nothing but the clothes on her back.  Selling her earrings to a street vendor ended up with her drugged up and falling onto gang member, Jasper McCray of sector four.

This is where the fun starts...  Jasper is the number two of Dallas, leader of the O'Kane gang.  Hard abs, cage fighter, and melting heart for Noelle.  Protective and possessive, yet, weary of marking her & making Noelle HIS.

I'm Marked by AceMeanwhile, dear Noelle is trying to learn the way of the O'Kane's from sassy dominant Lex.  I so loved Lex!!  She was one of my favorite characters along with Ace.  Mad Scientist would be marked by the hot tattooist with a wicked tongue.  No worries though, every character is just so wonderful!  Can I take one of each of the O'Kane men on a silver platter.  No bows needed!  *grin*

Noelle is learning how to feel.  This new O'Kane world of debauchery (sex & drinking & violence).  Will she have to decide if she wants to go back to being hallow or give into her new desires.

Sexy Snippet from Tempest's Legacy

Sexy Snippets is a weekly MeMe hosted by Secrets of a Book Lover & Reading Between the Wines.  Grab the button, post a sexy paragraph or two from your current read and share the author & title so others can quickly add it to there Dirty Nookie TBR pile!!  Of course, add a linky so others can see the sexy tease!

This weeks Sexy Snippet is snagged from:

Tempest's Legacy (Jane True #3)

By Nicole Peeler

Surprisingly there was only one bout of nookie in this book.

Which is weird considering the first two in the series was crammed with juicy snippets.

There is one spot that had me shaking my head and giggling at the same time.

Tempest's Legacy (Jane True #3)

So I responded instinctually.  I was, after all, in the arms of a man I wanted very, very badly to boff.  He had his arms around me.  I was right where I wanted to be... and then he shifted...

And then I shimmied.

My ass.

Into his crotch.

Don't get me wrong:  I didn't dry-hump him or start finding against him like some hoochie dancer in a rap video.  But I definitely shimmied my ass into his crotch.  Well, I'm so damned short and he's so damned tall I mostly just rubbed my buttocks on his knees, but whatever.  There was my ass, on him, and I thought I would die.

Anyan froze behind me, and all my blood rushed to my head.  I knew I was beet-red, and I honestly thought I would keel over from shame (or an aneurysm) when holy hell broke loose.

Book Review... Tracking the Tempest

Tracking the Tempest:
Jane True #2

By:  Nicole Peeler
Concoction of a Review:
There is snark and laughter from page one.  I read the first, Tempest Rising, a while back... Mad Scientist thinks in Jan/Feb and just loved it.  Thus far the second in the series is following in suit quit nicely.  *rubs hand together*  Yes!  Quit nicely.  I can also let you know that this book full of Jane antics did not let the Mad Scientist down.  Nicole Peeler has a way with writing.  Fun yet complex.  I wonder if that is how she likes her men?  *Waggles eyebrow*

*Gasps*  Nicole you have my little old mind on Vampires & Barghest oh my!!

Our naughty little half-selkie Jane True was meeting up with her over protect hot "vampire" boyfriend Ryu for little Valentine's Day body intertwinement.  I am most certainly not the only naughty one here!  However, her sexy weekend with her buff controlling, overprotective Ry fizzled when she got caught up in the middle of one of his paranormal detective cases.  My dear Jane your weekend was scorched but I promise I can take care of him!  *evil grin amasses my face*

Jane attempts to stay out of harms way and sadly away from the arms of her lover by heading back to her cozy town, Rockabill.  Silly name but it grows on you.  She went back to her boring routine of a life.  Working at the bookstore, taking care of her father, & training to create mage balls.  Ladies!  I said MAGE balls... let us stay on track here.   At any rate, with her pitiful attempts at hiding Conleth the psycho serial killer found her!

This dangerous fact ends up to be wonderful for the reader.  Jane is thrust into Boston out of her comfort zone.  Slapped right in the middle where all the supernatural nonsense is hitting the paranormal fan I just imagined in my mind.  Thus we get to meet new wonderful characters!!  It was especially fun to meet Ryu's deputies... lackeys you call them now a days?  *smirks & blushes*  Do not find yourself surprised when you read about the "man" who does not wear any pants!

Ryu can be delicious in a certain way.  I did twitch a few times at those certain moments where he is tainted with selfishness.  Makes me cringe when the overprotective self righteous men spring out at you from under the ultra hotness.  Ladies there is a reason he is sooo old and single!!

Oddly enough the Barghest had me drooling.  *wink wink*  Oh, that was a horrid pun to use on behalf of my dear Anyan.  This paranormal species is a shape shifting dog that knows how to cook and has more power then he knows what to do with.  Now I would like to help him use some of that pent up power in the bedroom!!  *blushes profusely*  Ah, that would be wondrous.  *gaps*  Mad Scientist would just like to quote a certain fellow bookie as she would call this character, "Sex on a Stick!!"

Here is how I picture Anyan:  As Eric Bana...

The Mad Scientist admits she fell in love with this boy when she first watched Troy but with his long hair and scruffy face makes him the perfect Anyan!!

**Side Note:  Mad Scientist is a tad jealous of Jane for getting to take a bite out of that backside in book one!!**

Overall, Tracking the Tempest was a great read.  I got to picture this man for well over 300 pages!  Crazy one liners had me laughing out to myself, insane plot twists kept my brain busy & there were sexy romps to be had!  I never wanted to put this book down!

*I received this book free of charge from my sassy friend Jen!  My Mad review is completely honest and full of my thoughts on the book and the very yummy men inside. *
